We need to deal with evil
Challenging times require complex thinking, and complexity befuddles everyone, especially the simple-minded. Things are not what they appear to be. In many cases, they are worse; in others, they are better, but worse or better are relative terms that will change meanings.
None of this is a surprise, but seeing an insane criminal as the figurehead of an authoritarian junta being inserted into power in Washington, DC, again, is hard to accept. The fact that this resulted from a relatively clean election removes all doubt about the modern world’s rapid collapse with American culture at its center.
This is a relief in many ways, as the pretense of normality is gone. The two-and-a-half centuries of the Great American Experiment are over. The American mainstream media’s desperate attempts to turn this into just another change of administration have failed before they began.
This is what accelerated collapse looks like. Years of misinformation and neoliberal manipulation of the American Empire is now our official reality. The limits on the absurdities of our social insanity are being removed. There will be no opposition to force delays.
