OVERVIEW

The issue before the US election is everything and nothing. Which will it be? The hardest part of this is knowing that Tuesday will give us part of the answer, but the collapse of the US political system into fascism and absurdity means it may be weeks before we have the agreed-upon election results. The fact that the agreement will never include Trump and his followers is also inevitable, as he should lose.

If Trump were inserted into the White House by manipulating the electoral system, it would mean a different future than Harris’s success. But the future beyond the next few years will not change. See below.

Our technology and science continue to outperform everything else in our planetary culture. The question of the next major pandemic to be added to the current one is becoming another horse race between H5N1 and Mpox. Our media has only one focus: another horse race. Rather than preparation, they are only concerned with quick wins or losses.

The Climate Disaster continues to accelerate. There is no easy horse race analogy for this, hence the lack of rational coverage. All disasters are individual surprises: ‘Who could have known that something like this could happen?’
