Our Universe is Badly Out of Sync

But we control that by redefining our universe.

Most of us are living in a defunct reality. We need to catch up. If our shared reality gets too far out of sync, the resulting dysfunctionality is indistinguishable from insanity. As the condition worsens, people become violent as their reality; literally, their universe disappears. For a significant minority, their universe is almost gone.

We are well along in a significant civilizational shift, and that shift is not under our control. It is not our choice to toss out several hundred years of tradition despite what those most threatened by this choose to think. As many of us can see for several decades, the old universal paradigm is crumbling and fails to answer our most urgent questions.

History is of limited use in defining what is too far out of sync. Paradigmatic change that redefines our shared assumptions about the universe is not common. That level of change is typically indicative of civilizational collapse.

Our history of massive paradigmatic shifts has never been at the planetary level. We know it only as the collapse of empires such as the Roman Empire or imperial China in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The concept of a paradigmatic shift was…
